On May 29, SGS and Dongguan Combi Stroller & Toys Co., Ltd. under the Combi Group (hereinafter referred to as "Combi Dongguan") held the SGS Child Car Safety Seat ECE R129 Accredited Laboratory and SGS QTL Laboratory Award Ceremony. 

The issuance of the ECE R129 accredited laboratory certificate is the first certificate for a child car safety seat impact testing accredited laboratory in South China under SGS Light Products Services. The test data from the authorized Combi Dongguan dynamic testing laboratory will be recognized by SGS for applications for EU ECE R129 and Brazil Inmetro certificates. Combi Dongguan will also undertake other ECE R129 certification and COP-related tests assigned by SGS.

Attendees at the ceremony included Huang Guowei, Executive Director of Combi Group; Kunikazu Nishioka, Head of Global Quality Assurance at Combi; Wei Fengqing, Global Quality Assurance Manager at Combi; Chen Jianan, Director of SGS Light Products Services South China; Zhang Xiaoning, Senior Technical Manager of SGS Light Products Services China; and Ye Ying, Key Account Manager of SGS Light Products Services.

As an internationally recognized testing, inspection, and certification organization, SGS has extensive experience in infant product testing and certification. SGS technical experts have been dedicated to infant product quality control for many years, proficient in various relevant tests for infant products, familiar with related regulatory requirements, and have participated in the development of international and national standards multiple times. The inspection and test reports and certification certificates provided by SGS have become important references for infant product manufacturers to successfully enter domestic and international markets. Over the past 10 years, SGS has assisted numerous well-known companies, brands, and manufacturers in meeting certification requirements for child car safety seats in various countries, including EU ECE R129 certification, Brazil Inmetro certification, and China CCC certification. This collaboration with Combi Dongguan on the QTL laboratory project represents an expansion of SGS's network of cooperative testing laboratories in China, providing more diverse and convenient service solutions for companies in South China.

Dongguan Combi Stroller & Toys Co., Ltd., established in 1997, is a subsidiary of the Combi Group and an important production base for the group in mainland China. The company primarily produces strollers, child car safety seats, children's toys, and other categories. Dongguan Combi Stroller & Toys Co., Ltd. Dynamic Testing Laboratory has been in operation since 2006. The laboratory mainly uses equipment manufactured in the United States and Germany, capable of conducting tests for both ECE R44 and ECE R129.

The SGS QTL Laboratory Service Program aims to evaluate and recognize the testing capabilities of enterprise laboratories through international standards, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of their laboratory results, accelerating product launch processes, and enhancing market competitiveness. The granting of QTL laboratory qualification to Combi Dongguan by SGS signifies that Combi Dongguan's laboratory has met the high-quality requirements recognized by SGS in terms of testing quality.
